Truro’s cobbled streets buzz with buskers and performers, providing a colourful backdrop for visitors and shoppers. There is a wide variety of eateries of national, European and Far Eastern cuisine, with an abundance of coffee and tea shops together with a huge variety of wine bars and pubs. There is plenty to do in the evening with various night clubs. In addition, take the opportunity of a breathtaking river trip from the centre of Truro, at Town Quay, and visit St Mawes and the peaceful, scenic Roseland or visit the maritime history and modern sailing activities of Falmouth.
Eat, shop or be entertained in Truro with Lemon Quay as the lively hub of the city. The new events area has a varied programme of activities throughout the year, from live music and fetes to local farmers markets and regular Made in Cornwall arts and crafts, together with Cornish food and produce fairs, showcasing the very best that Cornwall has to offer.
A major attraction is the Hall for Cornwall, the county’s theatre complex, which provides a diverse programme of entertainment to suite all tastes and all ages. Other attractions include the cathedral with its concerts and recitals; a multi-screen cinema, and live music venues.
Everywhere in the city is within walking distance and linked by a series of ope ways and walks as well as wide cobbled shopping streets.

Visit in Spring or Summer to enjoy the striking floral displays, and wonderful gardens, or in winter for the famous City of Lights parade and winter festival.
